A complete video tutorial on how to use a nose washer.
The complete video tutorial on how to use the nose washer is as follows:

Step 1: Prepare the nose washer.

Pre-installed nose washer, squeeze bottle, nasal syringe or nasal washing pot can be purchased.

Step 2: Blend brine with salt powder.

It is best to use the special nasal washing salt prepared in advance to prepare the nasal washing salt. The nasal wash prepared with this nasal wash salt is similar to the nasal cavity environment, more gentle, effective and non-irritating, and can avoid choking when washing the nose. At this point:

1) Prepare about 8 ounces (226.8 grams) of distilled water, filtered water or pre-boiled water. You can also heat it in a microwave oven for 5 seconds to a suitable temperature, but don't let the water temperature overheat;

2) Cut off a corner of the salt bag, pour the salt powder into the bottle/jar (nose-washing bottle/jar), cover the lid tightly, block the top opening with one finger, pick up the bottle and shake it gently, so that the salt powder and water are fully mixed and dissolved.

You need to use 1/4- 1/2 teaspoons of non-iodized salt and a pinch of baking soda powder (to make the salt milder) to mix the salt powder yourself, but it is difficult for you to master the amount of salt water, which may easily cause discomfort such as choking, so it is recommended to choose special salt.

Step 3: Use the correct nose washing posture.

The swimming pool stands by and leans forward about 45 degrees. Slowly bend forward and lower your head. Point one nostril at the swimming pool and open your mouth. Don't hold your breath or lean back.

Step 4: Inject salt water.

The mouth of the bottle cap is aimed at a nasal cavity, and the liquid outlet of the nose washer is placed in a nostril (note that the width of the object should not exceed one finger). Squeeze the nose washer or tilt the nose washer, so that the salt solution flows out from the other nostril through the nasal cavity, and keep breathing through the mouth, and some solution may flow out from the mouth. For sufficient irrigation, use at least about 60- 120 ml of normal saline to irrigate one nostril, and be careful not to swallow the solution.

Step 5: Empty the nasal cavity and blow your nose.

Press one nostril tightly, eject air from the other nostril to remove the residual normal saline, and the other nostril repeats the action to empty the nasal cavity.

In order to better discharge the residual salt solution, please lean forward in the opposite direction to the nasal cavity you just washed, and gently blow your nose at the same time. If you can bear it, suck the residual solution in the nasal cavity 1-2 times before blowing your nose, and then gently blow your nose to clean the back airway. Be careful not to pinch your nose tightly to avoid excessive pressure on the eardrum. Some solution may flow into your throat. Please spit it out. Don't swallow salt water, but don't worry if you accidentally swallow it, because the sodium content in the swallowed solution is not enough to cause harm.
