How to make three-strand braided wreath bread at home

1.

First make medium-sized dough. Mix all the medium dough ingredients and knead into a smooth dough. Place the dough into a stainless steel basin, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 17 hours.

2.

Tear the dough into small pieces and mix with the main dough ingredients. Knead into a smooth dough, add butter, and knead to the expansion stage. Cover with plastic wrap and let ferment in a warm place for 30 minutes.

3.

Divide the fermented dough into 3 equal portions. Roll into a ball, cover with plastic wrap, and rest for 15 minutes.

4.

Roll the relaxed dough into oval shapes.

5.

Turn over and press thin on one side. Roll up and pinch the ends tightly.

6.

After everything is done, rub it in batches until it reaches 80CM.

7.

Put it up as shown in the picture. Be especially careful not to pinch the head all together.

8.

Then braid the three strands together in sequence. Don't pinch all the tails together either.

9.

Move the braided braid to the baking sheet and arrange it as shown in the picture. Then pinch the corresponding noodles together and arrange them. The gaps will fit together after fermentation.

10.

Put the baking sheet into the oven, put a bowl of hot water, and set the temperature to 37 degrees for final fermentation. Ferment for about 30 minutes.

11.

Finally, after fermentation is completed, brush the surface with egg wash and decorate with chocolate beans.

12.

Place in an oven preheated to 170℃, middle rack. Set the upper heat to 175 degrees and the lower heat to 155 degrees, and wait for about 18 minutes until it takes on color.

Cooking Tips

Tips:

1. When making braided bread, the dough should not be too soft, otherwise the pattern will easily disappear after braiding.

2. Before braiding, roll the noodles into the required length in batches. The intensity should be even and the thickness should be as consistent as possible, so as not to break the tendons.

3. Do not use force when braiding, but follow the flexibility of the dough.

4. Do not pinch the three strands together at both ends, place them according to the picture. Finally, connect the head and tail and pinch the corresponding noodles together so that there will be no big lumps and the ending will be perfect.
