1) catgut embedding is a method to make a small hole of about 1~2mm in the skin, through which a needle and thread can pass, and stick the dermis and levator muscle together. Because the suture is inside the eyelid, there is no need to remove the suture, and the operation time is short. The swelling was reduced quickly after operation, leaving no scars. However, fat or muscle can easily make the double eyelids relax and disappear for a long time, which is not suitable for this kind of operation.
2) Incision is a method to cut the skin according to the specified lines, and properly cut the skin, muscles, fat, etc. According to the eyelid condition, the levator muscle is directly sutured to the inner side of the skin (dermis). The cutting line is at the fold of the double eyelids, so it is almost invisible after fixation. This method does not disappear like the embedding method, but can form prominent double eyelids. Moreover, the removal of sagging or flabby skin and fat can be adjusted according to the requirements of customers. The postoperative swelling problem varies from person to person, and subsides in about 3 ~ 4 weeks. But the pain may last for 2-3 months.
