The hospital has strong medical skills and talents. More than 30% of the medical technicians in the hospital have senior and intermediate technical titles, including one of the 500 old Chinese medicine practitioners in China, one of the eight famous doctors in Shanghai Orthopedics Department, the current honorary president Shi Lao, a national expert, and Jiao Donghai, the chief physician who has been engaged in rhubarb research for many years. Adhering to the medical policy of carrying forward the characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine and combining traditional Chinese and western medicine, we have set up 23 specialist clinics for prolapse of lumbar intervertebral disc, bone spur, gastropathy, lipid-lowering and weight-reducing, osteopathic massage and youth encouragement, which have a certain social impact, with more than 800 daily outpatient visits in the hospital.

The hospital adheres to the policy of rejuvenating the hospital through science and technology, vigorously strengthens the scientific research of traditional Chinese medicine, and has two research rooms: orthopedics and integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine. Two scientific research achievements have won ministerial-level scientific and technological progress awards, and many have won municipal and district-level scientific and technological achievement awards. Eight medical monographs have been published, and more than 50 academic papers have been published. The Department of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine and the Department of Traumatology of Shi's Department were approved as municipal leading medical specialties, and the specialty of reducing fat and losing weight was approved as Shanghai Medical Cooperation Center.
