The guiding ideology of discipline construction is to take discipline construction as the leader, take the construction of top-quality courses as the foundation, focus on the construction of teaching staff, aim at enhancing scientific and technological strength and innovation ability, take the construction of conditions as the guarantee, and combine discipline construction with the needs of personnel training, scientific research and local economic development. Over the years, the construction of provincial and college-level key disciplines has promoted the improvement of college teaching quality, scientific research ability and medical service level. From 200 1 to 2006, there have been about 10 key disciplines and key development disciplines in our college, including 4 provincial key disciplines and key development disciplines. On the basis of summing up experience, standardizing management system and evaluation standards, in 2006, the college formulated the 11th Five-Year Plan for discipline construction, and put forward new ideas and planning objectives for key discipline construction: give full play to the enthusiasm and creativity of departments to strive for provincial and university-level key disciplines, further strengthen dominant disciplines, pay attention to characteristic disciplines, support emerging disciplines and develop interdisciplinary disciplines. Strive to reach 15 university-level key disciplines, 10 university-level key development disciplines, more than 5 provincial-level key disciplines or key development disciplines by 2065, and achieve zero breakthrough in national new reference materials. The construction of key disciplines in our college began in the 1990s. After years of efforts, 1996 "Epidemiology and Health Statistics" and "Surgery (Extraosseous)" were rated as key disciplines by the Ministry of Coal. After our hospital was placed in Hebei Province, in May of 20001year, Ji Jiaogao (200 1)No. 18 "Epidemiology and Health Statistics" and "Surgery (Extraosseous)" were identified as key disciplines in Hebei Province.
According to the spirit of instructions from higher authorities and the need to strengthen discipline construction, in 200 1 year, our college formulated the Management Measures for Key Discipline Construction of North China Coal Medical College (Document No.50 [200 1]). 200 1, 10 was evaluated by the Academic Committee of Menstrual College, and the college selected the first batch of 1 1 school-level key construction disciplines (200 1-2003). Seven of them are first-class key disciplines, supported by special funds from the college, and four are second-class key disciplines, with funds raised by the department itself. According to the annual self-evaluation report, the college organizes performance appraisal and evaluation. According to the principle of supporting the survival of the fittest, by 2004, the key disciplines at the university level will be reduced from 1 1 to 10, and eliminated by itself 1. In 2004, the first batch of seven first-class key disciplines (including two provincial-level key disciplines) and three second-class key disciplines passed the expert evaluation and acceptance in stages. Judging from the performance analysis and discipline strength of regular evaluation results, it is promising to tap the characteristics of key disciplines and enhance their competitiveness.
In the new round of evaluation and selection of provincial key disciplines in 2005, our hospital added two provincial key development disciplines (labor hygiene and environmental hygiene discipline and internal medicine discipline).
In 2006, the principal's office meeting decided to integrate the original first-class or second-class key disciplines 10, and decided to be the key disciplines or key development disciplines at the school level in 2006-2008. The selection results are as follows:

The responsibility book for the construction of key disciplines clarifies the responsibilities and obligations of relevant departments, academic leaders and college management departments. For provincial and ministerial key disciplines and key development disciplines, the college will continue to use the special fund for key disciplines to provide funding, and the total amount of funding will be approved according to the specific plan put forward by the department (department). The competent department shall allocate the investment by stages according to the relevant provisions, and determine the investment quota for the next year according to the annual assessment of the achievements of discipline construction and the establishment and achievements of teaching and scientific research projects. For those who exist in name only and make little progress, put forward rectification opinions within a time limit. If the rectification is ineffective, the qualifications of key disciplines or key development disciplines will be cancelled and funding will be stopped.
