Look at the state of the arc angle of the grinding wheel before opening the chip removal groove. If the arc angle of the grinding wheel is too large or the runout is too large, it is not easy to open. Repair the grinding wheel if there is a grinding wheel cutter. If there is no grinding wheel cutter, find a broken grinding wheel and move it left and right on the outer circle of the grinding wheel, which can also repair the grinding wheel, but it should not be too gray and not meet the specifications. When sharpening a knife, for safety reasons, you should stand on the side of the grinding wheel instead of facing it, and wear goggles. When grinding, the thumb, forefinger and middle finger of the left hand hold the front end of the blade (the end with alloy head) and the right hand hold the rear end of the blade (except the left hand). First, let the front end of the cutter head lightly touch the grinding wheel. First, grind a little groove in the front to better locate the chip removal groove. Then, slowly push the right hand forward, carefully observe the contact position between the cutter head and the rounded corner of the grinding wheel, and don't use too much force to avoid slipping and hurting your hand. After grinding, take a look at the groove and correct it in time. Generally, rough turning grooves are shallow and narrow. Shallow knives have high strength and narrow knives are easy to break chips. Although the deep groove is easy to break chips, the strength of the tool is not high. Finishing is that the groove can be deeper, so the knife is sharper.
In fact, there are not many skills in sharpening knives. Just grind more, observe more and think more. Sharpening a knife is a bit dirty and tiring, but it will be much better after proficiency. The most important thing is safety first. I had to wear goggles, so I was careless and didn't wear goggles. Twice, sand splashed into my eyes, and I committed the crime of old nose. I went to the hospital to pack a cyclops, but fortunately, the problem was not too big and I rested for a few days.
