As a national-level district-level maternal and child health hospital integrating preventive health care, medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, training, health education, information management and community service, Longgang District has designated the only premarital examination unit to undertake professional guidance, management, scientific research and training of maternal and child health care in Longgang District, and provide medical services such as gynecology, obstetrics, pediatrics, neonatology and reproductive health for the whole district. 1995 officially passed the evaluation and acceptance of the national baby-friendly hospital. After the new hospital was completed in March 2003, the scale of the hospital went up, and it was identified as one of the three pilot hospitals in Guangdong Province. In February 2005, the second-class first-class maternal and child health hospital was successfully established. Longgang District Maternal and Child Health Hospital is the designated unit of medical insurance in Longgang District, and the only designated unit of premarital examination in Longgang District, which undertakes the business guidance, management, scientific research and training of maternal and child health care in the whole region. The administrative management and first-class business departments are fully set up, with professional departments 19, among which neonatology and obstetrics are key medical specialties and emergency centers in Longgang District. The Department of Reproductive Health is the only reproductive health specialty in the whole region. In cooperation with Daan Gene Diagnosis Center of Sun Yat-sen University, the DNA Parent-child Genetic Counseling Center and Reproductive Gene Diagnosis Center have been established.

As the teaching base of Anhui Medical University and Guangzhou Medical College, it undertakes the internship teaching tasks of maternal and child health care undergraduate and clinical nursing, forming a strong learning and scientific research atmosphere. In recent years, he has published 77 papers in various journals (36 at the national level, 39 at the provincial level and 2 at the municipal level) and undertaken 28 municipal scientific research projects, including 6 at the municipal level and 22 at the district level.
