The jack uses a steel lifting piece as a working device. In automobile maintenance, it is often used to lift a certain point or side of the automobile to facilitate maintenance of the chassis part. Jacks are divided into two types: mechanical jacks (commonly known as horse stools) and hydraulic jacks. There are two types of mechanical jacks: rack type and screw type. (1) Preparation 1) Before jacking, refer to the vehicle lifting points and bracket support points explained in the maintenance manual. 2) Make sure the two jacks on the side of the vehicle that need support are adjusted to the same height and place them near the vehicle 3) Place wheel blocks in front of the left and right front tires (if the vehicle is jacked up from behind). (2) Lifting 1) Tighten the release handle 2) Place the jack at the specified position and then lift the vehicle, paying attention to the vehicle components in the direction of the support point. Never place a jack on a torque beam axle to lift it. (3) Bracket with jack 1) Place the bracket according to the instructions, and align the rubber groove on the jack with the car body. 2) Recheck the height of the bracket so that the vehicle is in a horizontal position. 3) Slowly release the release handle, and when the load is placed on the jack, slowly tap the brackets with a hammer to check whether they are all in contact with the ground. 4) Remove the jack after inspection.
