My friend downstairs, the sandpaper you mentioned is 600 mesh, which is very rough. There will be many marks after polishing. Rosewood should be polished to at least 1000 mesh. If it is 1000 mesh, there is no coarse mark by visual inspection, but it needs more than 2000 mesh to be shiny.
