(1) Seedling selection:?
The selection of poinsettia seedlings is a key point for growers, and high-quality and healthy seedlings are the key to producing high-quality potted flowers.
(2)? Preparation before planting:
About three days before the seedlings arrive or arrive, the cultivation site should be cleaned and disinfected first, and then the cleaned or disinfected cultivation substrate should be put into the (cleaned or disinfected) basin. The cultivation substrate should be placed in a pot, and the upper limit of the pot should be 2 cm above the waterline (please don't compact the imported substrate), and it should be placed neatly, and the amount of sprinkling water should be determined according to the humidity of the substrate itself. Mix 2-4g controlled release fertilizer per liter.
(3)? Planting:?
It is best to sow in time after shipment. If you can't plant it right away, you must take the seedlings out of the box and put them in a cool place (summer) to avoid wilting, and then start planting. When planting, dig a hole with two fingers, gently plant the plant into the culture medium, remember not to plant it too deeply, cover the original seedling culture medium with 1cm as the standard, and pour root-fixing water to make the original seedling culture medium flush with the surface of the culture medium. The first 1 week after planting should be slightly shaded to keep the light intensity around 20000Lux. The daytime temperature should not exceed 32℃, and the nighttime temperature should be around 22-24℃, and the humidity should be 70-80%.
(4)? Post-colonial management:
Improving the environment can promote the healthy and rapid growth of roots. Keep the daily temperature in the culture environment between 30-32℃ and the night temperature at 24℃, increase the humidity in the shed by spraying or sprinkling water for 2 weeks, and then gradually reduce the temperature and humidity. At the same time, water-soluble fertilizer 20- 10-20 can be given for root irrigation or foliar fertilization, and dwarfing agent can be applied for dwarfing treatment.
(5)? Pick your heart:?
After planting 15 days, it can be observed that the new roots of Christmas red have grown from the edge of the pot and can be picked after one or two laps. Leave 5-8 leaves when coring, then keep the daily temperature of the environment between 30-32℃ and the night temperature at 24℃, and keep the humidity around 80% through two weeks of diligent spraying. After seeing the new buds grow, you can slowly lower the temperature and spray dwarfing agents according to the growth potential of the plants. After that, the daytime temperature is maintained at 26-30℃, and the humidity is reduced. During this period, according to the uniformity and fullness of the plants, the seeds can be picked twice, supplemented with nutrition or treated with dwarfing agents.
(6)? Black cloth or natural short day?
If there are multiple cores, three weeks after the last core, shorten the day or use black cloth to make the environmental day length reach the critical day length required for the differentiation of poinsettia flower buds. One week before flower bud differentiation, P and K fertilizers should be increased and N fertilizers should be reduced. The special fertilizer Huaduoduo No.3 15-20-25 can be used to give sufficient nutrients. Maintaining the night temperature of 265438 0℃ is beneficial to the normal differentiation of flower buds. ?
