About the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom Army
This is an illustration attached to the ninth chapter of the original "Revolutionary History of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom", entitled "Tatar cavalry defeated by Hukou". It is a picture of 1860 in which the so-called Taiping Army defeated the Qing army in Hukou, Jiangxi Province. It is described in Chapter 9, because it is said that there are many Taiping Army. The most striking feature of Taiping Army's clothes and flags is that they are almost completely composed of red and yellow. As we all know, although the flag of Taiping Army is divided into five colors, the utilization rate of yellow flag is actually much higher than other colors. The flag in "Battle Map of Taiping Army" is a uniform yellow flag, while the clothing and flag of the right army in "Battle Map of Tatar Cavalry in Hukou" are almost yellow, and both flags are white, so they are more like the Qing army.

However, the war itself is most likely invented from the city wall. Although Mr. Luo Ergang once affirmed the historical value of this record in the preface written for the Revolutionary History of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom, thinking that it "supplemented the deficiency of Zhong Wang's self-report about the enterprising route of the Western Expedition and provided us with extremely valuable research materials such as eastward advancement, Pengze and Hukou", some scholars later questioned the relevant records. Through all kinds of textual research, it is concluded that Diao Cui Lu is "pure fiction" For example, Mao said in the article "The Battle of Taiping Rebels Besieging Hukou in the Afternoon of 1860": "I personally think that the record of Taiping Rebels attacking Hukou County in Chapter 9 of the Revolutionary History of Taiping Heavenly Kingdom, the date and commander in chief are all wrong. At the same time, people also have reason to doubt the authenticity of the color picture of "Tatar Cavalry Defeated at Hukou". Li Chun said in "An Introduction to the Military History of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom" that "Miao Lao's record of this battle is of course fictional, and the illustrations are naturally worthless ... Miao Lao's record of this matter can be said to be extremely absurd. Attached are two textual researches for your reference:
