The main building of Terminal 3 of Beijing Capital International Airport Okay Airways Co., Ltd. was designed by NACO and norman foster Architects. On March 26th, 2004, the project and supervision contract of Terminal 3 was signed. The third phase expansion project of the Capital Airport began. Completed in 65438+February 2007. T3 main building and its supporting projects are located between the existing east runway and the new runway. Terminal 3 is the largest single building in China. The total construction area is 986,000 square meters.
Terminal 3 of Beijing Capital International Airport consists of T3A main building, T3B main building, T3C main building, T3D, T3E international terminals and the traffic system in front of the building. T3A main building has five floors above ground and two floors underground. The first floor of T3A main building is the baggage handling hall, long-distance waiting hall and distinguished guests at home and abroad. . The second floor is the passenger arrival hall, baggage claim hall and MRT platform; The third floor is the departure hall for domestic passengers; The fourth floor is the ticket office and the dining hall; The fifth floor is catering. T3C (domestic area) and T3E (international area) are herringbone symmetrical, and the north-south direction echoes each other, and the middle is connected by T3D terminal building with red steel structure. The north-south direction is 2900 meters long, 790 meters wide and the building height is 45 meters. Terminal 3 is much larger than the existing two terminals.
As the north and south buildings (T3C and T3E) of Terminal 3 are far apart, automated people mover will be built between them for the convenience of passengers. Automated people mover is an unmanned automatic passenger transportation system. The MRT system adopts the design scheme of Bombardier Company in Canada, and uses the signals transmitted by the trackside and central control to control the operation of vehicles. The driving route is 2080 meters one way. T3C, T3D and T3E*** three stations.
The baggage handling system of Terminal 3 adopts the most advanced automatic sorting and high-speed transmission system in the world. The baggage handling system consists of departure, transit and arrival baggage handling system, empty baggage basket returning system and early baggage storage system, covering T3C, T3E and the corresponding area connecting T3C and T3E baggage tunnels, with an area of about/kloc-0.2 million square meters and a total system length of about 70km. As long as the airline transports the baggage to the sorting port, the system can transfer the baggage to the baggage claim turntable in only 4.5 minutes, which will greatly reduce the waiting time for passengers to claim their baggage.
After Terminal 3 was put into use, Beijing Capital International Airport became the first airport in China with three terminals, two towers and three runways running simultaneously. The airport taxiway increased from 7 1 to 137, and the parking space increased from 164 to 3 14. The third runway of Beijing Capital International Airport was completed when Building 3 was put into use. A new transportation center (GTC) will be built in front of Terminal 3, and a railway connection will be established between Terminal 3 and Terminal 2. The light rail line from Dongzhimen to Capital Airport will branch off and reach Terminal 2 and Terminal 3 respectively.
