How to maintain linen fabric
1. According to the manufacturer's instructions.
Linen fabrics have different dyes, textures and weaves. Therefore, you should read it carefully and clean, dry and iron it according to the marks usually printed on the back by the manufacturer. Always follow these rules before trying something else that may be more dangerous.
2. Test any cleaning process in an inconspicuous place.
If you may damage the linen, test the invisible places, such as the bottom of the fabric.
3. When there are stains, remove them immediately.
The longer you wait, the more stains will penetrate into the linen fabric, and the harder it will be for you to clean it. There are many different ways to remove stains from various products. For example, stains on ballpoint pens can be cleaned with hair gel.
4. Avoid chlorine bleach.
You can use color fixative or bleach disinfectant on flax, but the usual chlorine bleach will damage the fabric. Generally speaking, any kind of dry cleaning detergent will do, but you may want to use a mild variety, such as beauty care detergent or American original baby laundry detergent.
5. Wash in an incomplete container. The more water, the better.
It is best to use clothes of the same color and wash them at the recommended temperature. Put soft linen, which is usually used as lining, in pillowcases or net bags to protect linen from all possible deformation. If your water has a high lime content, you need to add a softener.
6. Don't wring out your linen fabric.
If possible, hang the white linen in the sun to keep the whiteness of the fabric. Avoid excessive drying of linen fabric, otherwise it will lose its original softness and make it too wrinkled. This is irreversible. You can dry at a lower temperature, but follow the manufacturer's instructions.
7. Iron your linen fabric while it is still wet.
This will make your ironing easier. Make sure that the bottom of the iron is clean, smooth and free of any impurities. You can also try to wet linen by hand. So there is no need to iron at all.
8. Store flax in a cool and dry place (not in cedar trunk).
Washing water temperature of linen clothes
To maintain linen clothes, the temperature of water should not be too high, and should be controlled below 35 degrees. You can use the washing machine, but you must use cold water. We should choose some neutral detergents instead of high-efficiency detergents such as netting. In addition, don't touch acidic substances. Flax is a kind of plant fiber, which is very sensitive to acid and easy to burn clothes. Hang it to dry, don't expose it to the sun. Linen clothes are best washed in cold water. Hang it up after washing and dry it naturally in the shade.
How to clean linen fabric
Cleaning skills 1
When washing linen, be sure to set the washing machine to "gentle washing". If your washing machine can choose the water level, please choose the highest water level, which will give your clothes more room to move freely.
Clean technology 2
Don't wash too many clothes at a time, otherwise it may cause the clothes to be deformed.
Cleaning the suction head 3
If there are clothes made of other materials in the washing machine, make sure they are similar to linen clothes in color, weight and washing method.
Cleaning the suction head 4
If it is hand-washed, be gentle-don't rub or twist your linen clothes hard. For linen clothes that are not particularly dirty or loosely woven, we usually recommend hand washing, which can completely avoid the possibility of being washed by the washing machine.
Clean the suction head 5
Linen clothes and linen home textiles must be washed with cold water or warm water-ice water or hot water is not allowed.
Cleaning the suction head 6
Linen fabrics can only be cleaned with mild detergent, and there is no detergent residue before drying.
Cleaning the suction head 7
If your linen clothes have been pre-washed during the production process (you can check their labels before buying clothes, which will explain this), you can use the dryer to dry them. Just set the dryer at low temperature and throw the linen clothes into the dryer when they are still slightly wet.
Cleaning head 8
When drying linen clothes, try to keep the surface flat. Clothes hangers or clothes pegs may leave marks on clothes, and may also cause clothes to be deformed.

If your linen needs ironing, please iron it while it is still a little wet.
Will flax shrink?
If the fabric is pure linen, the shrinkage rate will generally be around 10%, so be sure to pay attention when washing. When the water temperature is too high, it will shrink seriously. In addition, the color fastness of flax is not very good, and it will lose a little color. When washing linen fabric, do not rub it hard to avoid pilling, which will affect the appearance and life.
First, try to wash by hand;
Second, use neutral detergent when washing, such as;
Third, try not to dehydrate (because dehydration is a major factor causing shrinkage);
Fourth, don't rub hard.
