Breathing rhythm and skills
First of all, we need to know the rhythm and skills of breathing. The correct breathing rhythm is 12-20 times per minute, each breath lasts 1-2 seconds, and the exhalation lasts 2-3 seconds. When doing artificial respiration, you should use appropriate techniques to ensure that every breath is effective.
operation sequence/order
The following are the correct operation steps of artificial respiration:
1. Check whether the patient needs artificial respiration. If patients are not breathing or breathing shallowly, they may need artificial respiration.
2. Put the patient on the flat ground. If possible, tilt the patient's head backwards to make artificial respiration easier.
3. Open the patient's mouth and remove any substance that hinders breathing. If the patient has teeth, he can put his finger under his chin, pull it up and open his mouth.
4. Put your lips close to the patient's lips and hold the patient's nose with your fingers to prevent air from escaping from the nose.
5. Inhale, then put your mouth close to the patient's mouth and blow into the patient's lungs. Blow hard enough to raise the patient's chest, but not too hard.
6. Wait for the patient's chest to descend, then inhale again and repeat the above steps. There should be a few seconds between breaths.
7. Check the patient's pulse and breathing every few minutes. If the patient starts breathing or regains his heartbeat, you can stop artificial respiration.
