What fabric is better for T-shirts?
Abstract: T-shirt is one of people's favorite clothes in spring and summer, and there are many kinds of materials and printing processes. Common T-shirt fabrics on the market include pure cotton, polyester cotton, combed cotton, mercerized cotton, cotton and linen, modal and spandex. Printing process can also be divided into hand-drawn printing, screen printing, digital printing, thermal transfer printing and 3D printing. Next, let's take a look at Bian Xiao. What fabric is better for T-shirts?

1, pure cotton

Pure cotton is the most commonly used T-shirt fabric, which is comfortable, skin-friendly, breathable, hygroscopic and environmentally friendly. If you don't pursue the brand, then the pure cotton T-shirt should be the most cost-effective choice among ordinary T-shirts.

2. Polyester cotton

This fabric is neither easily deformed nor wrinkled. The fabric feels hard, the comfort is not as good as pure cotton, but it is soft and thick. Generally speaking, 65% cotton T-shirt fabric is acceptable, but if it is 35% cotton, don't bring it, and it will pilling if you feel uncomfortable.

3. Combed cotton

Combed cotton is a pure cotton fabric, which is better than ordinary cotton. Can make the T-shirt more upscale, softer, more comfortable, more washable, more durable, and has a certain luster.

4. Mercerized cotton cloth

Mercerized cotton is also a kind of pure cotton fabric, only with a mercerizing process. The fabric treated in this way not only contains the characteristics of ordinary cotton T-shirts, but also has the characteristics of better hand feel, higher comfort and improved gloss, and is not easy to wrinkle and deform, so it can be said that it is an aristocrat in cotton.

5. Cotton and flax

Cotton and linen T-shirts will be cooler than cotton T-shirts. Cotton and linen T-shirts have the advantages of good air permeability, anti-pilling, anti-static, skin-friendly and radiation-proof, and are very suitable for white-collar workers, pregnant or pregnant women and childless men.

6. Modal

Modal fabric is particularly soft and smooth, and its surface is bright and shiny. It is a natural mercerized fabric, but there are also a few people who are not suitable. Although modal fabric does not contain any harmful substances, because it is made of chemical fiber, a few people may be allergic. This fabric pays attention to comfort, but it is easy to deform.

7, spandex

Spandex fabric is particularly elastic, antistatic and comfortable to the touch. Compared with the T-shirt made of ordinary fabric, its crease is easy to recover, and it is particularly prominent. Spandex fabric not only retains the advantages of cotton, but also improves the shortcomings of cotton's inelastic and easy deformation, but it is easy to fade in the sun.

What are the production processes of T-shirt printing?

1, hand-painted printing

Is to draw on a T-shirt with a pen. Commonly used pigments are textile dyes and acrylic pigments. Because it is hand-painted, the artist's experience and technology have a great influence on the whole printing process. And once an error occurs, it is not convenient to change. The paint and manual cost of hand-painted T-shirts are very high.

2. Screen printing

Silk-screen color printing simply means that if the pattern of a T-shirt has three colors: red, yellow and blue, it needs to be printed in three editions, one for each color, while most of them are spot color printing in China. Screen printing can be mainly divided into water slurry printing, mucilage printing and ink printing.

Water slurry printing process is one of the most basic printing processes in screen printing industry. It can be printed on almost all light-colored fabrics such as cotton, polyester and hemp, and is widely used. Its working principle is similar to dyeing, except that it "dyes" a certain area of the fabric into the color needed for the flower position. Therefore, this process cannot be applied to deep background fabrics.

The mucilage printing process uses a special chemical gel to mix seamlessly with dyes, and the dyes are firmly attached to the T-shirt fabric through the gel medium. Viscose printing technology overcomes the limitations of water slurry printing.

Ink printing process, also known as thermosetting ink printing, uses chemical ink as pigment and allows ink to cure on fabric at high temperature. Ink printing technology also needs to make printing plates, but compared with water slurry, ink printing technology has poor air permeability, and it will be easier to fall off when used on chemical fiber clothes. However, T-shirts and Polo shirts can reduce the possibility of falling off by using this printing process.

3. Digital printing

Digital inkjet printing is a new technology, which mainly includes punching, splicing, stringing, peritoneum, cutting and other processes. However, the technology is relatively mature, but it is inseparable from professional digital inkjet printers. Of course, digital direct jet printing also has many incomparable advantages over traditional printing. In addition to large-area printing, it can also be printed accurately and evenly. And the pattern is colorfast, breathable, tasteless and non-toxic.

4. Thermal transfer printing

Thermal transfer is a supplement to screen printing. Many complex images can't be completely printed by screen printing, so there is thermal transfer. Simply put, thermal transfer is to use a thermal transfer machine to press special paper with pictures on clothes. Its advantage is that the printed pattern is colorful, and more importantly, it is fast and convenient. The disadvantage is that some light-colored patterns are not clear enough, and the places where the pictures are printed are airtight.

5. 3D printing

3D printing is to process the pattern with 3D effect, and then transfer it to t-shirt through thermal sublimation digital printing. The pattern on the T-shirt looks three-dimensional and looks real. The 3D effect can only be seen with the naked eye, without any 3D glasses, and the product itself has no concave and convex parts. The 3DT-shirt itself is flat, and a 3D visual effect is formed through the principle of 3D technology.
