Rao Art School is the only art school in Shangrao. Established in 1994. It is an excellent school with excellent school conditions and strong teachers.

Shangrao, known as Xinzhou and Guangxin in ancient times, is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Jiangxi Province, a regional central city in Jiangxi Province and a type II big city. It is a national comprehensive transportation hub approved by the State Council, a regional modernization central city of Jiangxi, Zhejiang, Fujian and Anhui, a sub-central city of Poyang Lake urban agglomeration, and one of the important cities in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River.

By 2022, Shangrao will have three municipal districts, eight counties and/kloc-0 county-level cities with a permanent population of 6,435,300.

Shangrao is located in the northeast of Jiangxi, between 27 48 ′ and 29 42 ′ north latitude and east longitude11613 ′ ~118 29 ′, and belongs to the subtropical monsoon climate zone. It borders Zhejiang in the east, Anhui in the north and Fujian in the south. The province borders Jingdezhen, Jiujiang, Nanchang, yingtan and Fuzhou. The total area of the city is 2279 1 km2, and the urban area is 1, 2 1.8 km2.

Located at the intersection of the Yangtze River Delta, the economic zone on the west side of the Taiwan Strait and the Poyang Lake Ecological Economic Zone, it is known as the thoroughfare of four provinces and the first gateway of Zhang Yu.

Shangrao is a national optical photovoltaic high-tech industrial base and a national advanced manufacturing base. Dexing City, under its jurisdiction, has the largest copper mine in Asia and is an important national nonferrous metal industrial base. Shangrao is an old revolutionary base area, a demonstration area for the revitalization and development planning of the former Central Soviet Area, a red cultural inheritance and innovation area, the happiest city in China, a national health city, and the best investment city for Zhejiang, Fujian and Guangdong businessmen in China.

Shangrao was the land of Wu in ancient times. In the 15th year of Jian 'an (2 10), Zhang Yu County was set as Poyang County, which was the beginning of the establishment of the county. Legend has it that Shangrao is named after "Shan Qi, excellent mountains and rich mountains", with a history of more than 2,000 years.

Shangrao is an excellent tourist city in China and one of the cradles of Taoism. There are 3 world heritages, 3 national 5A scenic spots and 32 4A scenic spots, and the total number of scenic spots ranks first in China, including Wuyuan, Sanqingshan, Poyang Lake National Wetland Park, Yiyang Guifeng and other famous scenic spots.

In 2022, Shangrao achieved a regional GDP of 330.97 billion yuan.
