Wabi-Sabi

Is an inseparable part of aesthetic consciousness,

Generally refers to simple and quiet things.

Japanese aesthetics is centered on accepting transience and imperfection.

It originated from three dharma seals in Buddhism,

Since all actions are impermanent and all laws have no self, Nirvana is silent.

Especially impermanence.

The philosophical view of silent aesthetics has been influenced by

Inspired by Taoism and Zen Buddhism,

The mood originates from Tang and Song poetry.

And the desolate and minimalist atmosphere in ink painting.

The pronunciation of "Silent Day" is "Sabi".

It means "lonely" and "withered".

Its ideological origin can be traced back to China's Zen culture.

During the Southern Song Dynasty, Heshang brought Zen from China to Japan.

So how to design the aesthetics of silence?

Today, I selected three sets of top-level loneliness aesthetic cases to share with you.

Let's feel the true beauty of loneliness together.

Casa Cook Rhodes

Kolymbia Beach, located on the east coast of Rhode Island, Greece, has the most abundant sunshine and rich historical heritage in Europe. This is the first hotel in Casa Cook. When you approach Casa Cook Rhodes, you will see a low white house, which is in sharp contrast with the rugged hills behind it.

The hotel * * * has a total of 97 rooms, and the building was built by Vana Pernari. It takes exquisite, simple and unobtrusive style as the overall design vocabulary, and combines modern Greek architectural style and nomadic style to create a simple and natural scene.

The interior design is completed by Annabel Kutuku, a master of interior design who pursues simplicity. Bohemia's unique unruly and wandering atmosphere has become the most important romantic image in space design. Natural materials and earth tones create harmonious comfort, and the soft texture of handmade items also adds a warm and comfortable atmosphere to the space. Such a space also makes people unconsciously slow down and blend into the embrace of nature.

The open living space presents an indifferent and quiet earth tone, and the minimalist furnishings minimize the clutter that interferes with the mood. Rattan, cotton and hemp fabrics are all hand-made in retro ways from all over the world, and the texture reveals the breath of returning to nature. The rest area is decorated with natural colored cloth.

The bright room is filled with straw baskets, light-colored rattan, jute carpets, printed cotton mats and country-style beds. On the terrace is a sofa bed or hammock bathed in warm sunshine, and within the field of vision is open and blue sea water with tidal sound.

Simple wooden stools and side tables bring handmade elements, while rocking seats bring subtle interest to adult space. It allows people to make friends with like-minded people, enjoy experiences, explore and exchange ideas, which makes the hotel more like a carrier of a cultural community.

Casakukos

Casa Cook Kos Hotel draws inspiration from the traditional Greek island architecture and creates a different pastoral style. Mastrominas architecture is the architectural design of the hotel, and lambs and lions are the interior design.

Designers achieve this goal by getting rid of people's stereotypes about hotels. In addition, the designer has created another kind of hospitable space, which makes the guests feel like living in a friend's house and has a relaxed atmosphere, while the luxurious service is meticulous and casual.

The central path leads to the dominant restaurant/beach club complex, which constitutes the mutual echo between the building and the beach. This path connects and serves the inner main swimming pool area and the beach. The wooden balcony in the north overlooks sand dunes and beaches, which can provide sufficient shade in hot weather.

The distribution and simple three-dimensional appearance of houses draw lessons from the traditional architecture and urban planning of Aegean islands. The concept contained in it is combined with narrow paths to guide tourists to enjoy unexpected scenery and lead to external stairs and outdoor rest areas.

Retro furniture combines rough natural textures with exotic objects, which makes the originally open space have proper warmth.

Casa Cook Chana

The hotel is located in the suburb of the historic port city of Chana. On the ancient hillside, the layered architectural forms follow the terrain and overlook the original and affectionate coastline of Crete. The blues of the Mediterranean became the most beautiful background, where endless beaches and ancient ports meet, making Casa Cook Chana a beautiful paradise under modernism.

Rooms continue Casa Cook's iconic country style, with K-studio as the architectural design, Lambs & amp; Lions are a combination of minimalism and medieval modernism, using materials other than wood and concrete, as well as local Crete stones.

Still life and light and shadow overlap, revealing the beauty of quietness, inadvertently touching the depths of the soul, and smart art, as if telling beautiful poems.
