At about 7: 00 a.m. on 23rd, striking workers rushed into the factory, smashed equipment, and then went to the staff dormitory in China District for looting.

According to Ms. He, her two suitcases were robbed, which contained 2,500 yuan and some jewelry. In addition, many people in the factory were robbed of their property.

With the joint efforts of the working group of the China Embassy in Myanmar and the Myanmar police, the trapped China employees of Yangon Chinese Garment Factory left the scene safely on the afternoon of February 23rd. It is reported that Myanmar police detained five main perpetrators. The Embassy of China in Myanmar is continuing to negotiate with Myanmar, demanding that Myanmar take effective measures to restore normal life and production order of the factory as soon as possible, punish the perpetrators according to law, and earnestly safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of citizens and Chinese-funded enterprises in Myanmar and China.
