Do you mean that the software uses a wide area network (that is, there are multiple office locations, and the computers in each workplace are connected to the Internet and can enjoy data)?

If so, the software itself should be fine, mainly because your network should be relatively stable. Otherwise, if the network is always disconnected, it will delay the work. Also, you have to ask the software vendor what database they use. Now they are using the online version, and some databases are easy to be attacked!
