The difference of cultural environment between the producing area and the consuming area of Cordyceps sinensis
Cordyceps sinensis is generally produced in Tibetan areas, mainly distributed in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau with high altitude, and its consumption area is mainly in the central and eastern regions of China, mainly in plains and hills. Compared with the consumption area, the production area of Cordyceps sinensis is vast, sparsely populated, with difficult living conditions and inconvenient transportation. Living habits are very different from those in the mainland. The diet is mainly yak meat, highland barley, yak milk, butter tea and brick tea. Most Tibetans believe in Buddhism, and a few believe in local Bonism in Tibet.
