Consumption is what everyone has to do every day, and it is the foundation of life. As a special consumer group, college students are the vane and followers of fashion. In some fashion fields, it can even play a leading role than some big red stars. In the current economic life, improving the consumption structure also plays an irreplaceable role. At the same time, their consumption status and characteristics also reflect the current living conditions and value orientation of college students to some extent. As a member of modern students, as an energetic college student who is deeply concerned about the economic development of China and deeply concerned about the economy of China, I completed this survey report through in-depth investigation and mobile phone data, trying to interpret the current situation and trend of students' consumption from the aspects of consumption intention, consumption consciousness and consumption psychology.
With the popularization of higher education, the market-oriented operation of higher education is becoming increasingly obvious. The large-scale enrollment expansion of colleges and universities has enabled more and more students to enter the halls of universities. The consumer market of college students has become the focus of more and more people's attention. No matter how poor you are, son? Parents use this concept to interpret college students' consumption view. Therefore, parents' high investment in education also makes college students' spending power higher than the general level. So how to face this consumer market correctly? To this end, I conducted a survey on the consumption of some students in Suzhou Vocational University, so as to have a comprehensive and detailed understanding of the consumption of today's college students. The following is the specific content of this survey and my analysis of this situation:
1, too blind consumption, more emotional than rational.
For college students, their main source of income is their parents' living expenses. I have no independent experience and I don't know the difficulty of making money. In addition, because college students have not yet formed a complete and stable consumption concept and their self-control ability is not strong, their consumption is mostly random consumption and impulsive consumption induced by media propaganda or the influence of classmates around them. For example, many college students use high-end phones such as Apple phones, which is a kind of consumption caused by mutual comparison. It is unhealthy and dangerous to feel that others have their own.
Pursuing fashion and famous brands is an old topic.
Many college students buy some brands of clothes or daily necessities. This kind of consumption will lead to comparison consumption to some extent. For example, some students mentioned above use Apple phones, which is also a brand-oriented consumption concept. Consumption should be based on your own personal practice. For example, if you feel good after using a certain soap, you can continue to use it. This is not to say that we do not advocate trying to diversify consumption, but we do not advocate excessive brand consumption.
3. Diversification of consumption tendency
In this era of increasingly rich material life and spiritual life, contemporary college students are no longer satisfied with the monotonous life of dormitories, teachers and libraries. Entertainment, sports, mobile phones, computers and new IT products have become the consumption hotspots of college students. The consumption of college students shows an obvious trend of diversification. If economic conditions permit, most students will travel, spend money in karaoke bars, or buy computers, mobile phones and MP3 players, which reflects the desire of college students to get out of campus, integrate into society and have a high-quality life.
Second, the problems existing in the current consumption situation of contemporary college students
1, the concept of saving is weak, and the concept of financial management needs to be cultivated and strengthened.
Most of the students' financial resources are the living expenses given by their parents, and they have never experienced the difficulty of making money personally, so they have no idea of saving, let alone saving money. Many students are at the beginning of the month, right? Gao Fushuai? At the end of the month? Poor diaosi situation. I am not in the habit of making reasonable plans for my living expenses. I always spend every penny I have.
2. Polarization of consumption level
I have to admit that some students are still very sensible, will not spend money indiscriminately, and even try to make money by themselves. This is in sharp contrast to those students who spend too much money. Some people even have enough money to feed other students for one day. . It is observed that this polarization phenomenon is more serious in some boys, while girls are more sensible and economical than boys.
3. The consumption structure is unreasonable.
In view of this, I find that girls are more prominent. Some girls spend half of their living expenses on clothes, dolls and cosmetics, while their own food consumption accounts for only a small proportion. It is impossible not to eat. I believe that the living expenses given by parents should be mainly used for eating.
4. Excessive consumption in love
Entering the university, I am free and have time and energy. So many students will find someone to fall in love with. When I made a survey in China, I found that some college students who are in love spend about 200-300 or even more each month, and the least is about 150 yuan. Most of them are committed to the pursuit of emotional needs, so it is often difficult to rationally grasp the principle of moderate consumption. This is very irrational consumption. This irrational phenomenon occurs especially in men, but interestingly, a few girls also have this phenomenon. The blind power of love is not desirable. We should keep a rational consumption in the sweetness of love.
The above is the conclusion of my investigation. Maybe my data is not authoritative enough, maybe my analysis is not accurate enough, but I have my own perspective, my own vision and my own method, which represents my own voice.
In view of the above conclusions, some suggestions for contemporary college students:
1. For college students, it is necessary to establish their own reasonable consumption concept and treat their consumption rationally. As a pure consumer, most college students depend on their families for their financial resources, so their consumption should take into account the family's economic situation, parents' affordability, and have some self-control, so don't blindly fall into the misunderstanding of perceptual consumption.
2. College students should also have a sense of consumer rights protection. When they enter the university, they have begun to gradually integrate into the society. Various illegal acts of deceiving consumers in society have been repeatedly banned. Facing the complicated society, college students should learn to safeguard their legitimate rights and interests.
3. Universities should also strengthen the concept of reasonable savings. Robert, Nobel laureate in economics? Kiyosaki once said:? Financial management has nothing to do with how much money you earn. It is the ability to measure how much money you can keep and how long it can work for you. ? In the survey, when asked about the financial situation after the end of a semester, most students admitted that their consumption had exceeded the planned scope, and even some students needed to borrow money from others. There are also a few students who have thought about how to spend the rest of the money, and only a few students have the consciousness of saving.
Every college student has his own special consumption concept and behavior. On the one hand, they have strong consumer demand, on the other hand, they have not achieved economic independence, and their consumption is greatly restricted. The contradiction between the advanced consumption concept and the lagging consumption strength makes the consumption of college students present a different overall situation. The consumption of college students is influenced by all aspects, and it will also affect all aspects. Therefore, with the development of economy, large-scale enrollment expansion in colleges and universities is showing its importance. The consumer market for college students is a market with huge scale and potential. How to standardize and rationally develop such a market is also an urgent problem for all of us. Only with the joint attention and efforts of students, families, schools and society, the consumption level of college students will become better and better and more reasonable.
In the current consumer market, college students, as a special consumer group, have attracted more and more attention. Because of their young age and special groups, they have different consumption views and behaviors from other social groups, which can reflect many problems in social consumption. In order to investigate the consumption of college students, we conducted research activities on our classmates and analyzed and summarized their consumption.
Investigation time: 20xx year x month x day
Survey location: Yantai Vocational College
Survey method: questionnaire survey.
Survey object: 400 freshmen in accounting department of Yantai Vocational College.
Findings and analysis:
( 1)
Among the 400 students, the average monthly living expenses are below 500, accounting for 10%, 500- 1000, 1000- 1500, 19% and1respectively. The consumption level of most students is not high, which shows that some places in society represent high consumption and extravagance and waste.

(2) the source of living expenses
2% of students' living expenses come from work-study programs and part-time jobs, and they choose to stand on their own feet. 59% people choose to supply at home, and 39% people choose to give it at home and work at home. It can be seen that college students' living expenses mainly come from their families, and a few students have a sense of independence through part-time jobs. But college students are always children at home.
(3) the purpose of consumption
Consumption is the mainstream of life. When 70% people choose to use the main purpose of life for study, diet and daily necessities, it shows that the consumption structure of contemporary college students is healthy and simple. 22% people regard clothing as their main consumption mode, which shows the absolute importance of food, clothing, housing and transportation in consumption.
(4) Mobile phone communication fee
Mobile phones are another important factor in daily consumption. The monthly communication expenses are below 7 1% in 50 yuan, and 25% are between 50- 100 yuan, which shows that the consumption pattern is good.
(5) Expense records
There is often no trace of the expenses in life. Looking back at the end of the month, I found that the cash had disappeared unconsciously. In the survey, 24% people can plan their consumption and keep accounts regularly, 59% people keep accounts occasionally in their lives, and 17% people never keep accounts. It shows that we haven't paid special attention to our consumption and the importance of keeping a good consumption record. Contemporary college students still have a young heart, little life experience, weak concept of money, and can't control and record carefully.

(6) A balanced approach
In this survey, 8 1% people choose to deposit the living expenses in the bank or transfer them to the next month, 5% people choose to spend them immediately, and 14% people say that there is no balance at the end of the month. Most students can make the best use of it, which is a good embodiment.
(7) Shopping attitude
When shopping, 5% people choose to buy their favorite items without thinking, 80% students can think rationally and see the cost performance and practicality. 15% people will buy the cheap ones, which reflects the mature shopping consciousness of students and will not spend money indiscriminately.
(8) Method of payment
When getting together with friends, 72% people choose AA system, 15% people choose to pay the bill voluntarily, and 10% people don't care or care about it. We can see that we can still distinguish the difference between money and feelings.
(9) Online shopping frequency
6 1% students choose 0-2 times, 25% students choose 3-5 times, 5% students choose more than 6 times, and 6% students choose not to buy online. Shopping is the nature of girls, but only a few girls choose to have many shopping experiences every month, which also reflects the rational consumption of our college students.
(10) Do you spend money uncontrollably on things you love?
32% students choose yes, and 68% students choose no, which shows that our attitude towards spending money is always more rational than irrational.
(1 1) If you don't have enough money when you go shopping, will you ask for money from home?
6% students choose to ask their parents for money, 465,438+0% students choose to save money by themselves, 7% students choose to borrow money from others, 47% students choose to think rationally and not buy, most students choose to save money by themselves, and only a few students choose to ask their parents for money. Suddenly, I feel a little touched, because we come from mottled big cities or rural areas with unlimited scenery, whether poor or rich.
Survey summary:
(1) Rational consumption is still the mainstream of consumption. Most of the expenses of college students are on diet, study and life, and the expenses for playing are not too much. It can be seen that college students are still very clear that their mission is to learn knowledge rather than indulge in fun. Because of their limited spending power, college students will be more cautious when spending, try to be selective, or pay attention to cheap prices rather than quality. So rational consumption is the mainstream of college students' consumption.
(2) College students' consumption has its irrational side, and the concept of financial management is weak. College students have no financial resources, poor economic independence and no consumption base. The non-independence of economy determines that college students have little experience in independent consumption and cannot rationally measure the consumption value and cost. College students have not yet formed a complete and stable consumption concept and their self-control ability is not strong. There are also a lot of casual consumption and impulsive consumption.
(3) Diversification of consumption. College students are not only well-fed and well-fed, but also spend a lot on clothes. As a contemporary college student, he will never forget to visit study shops and bookstores after studying. Making up lessons for obtaining various certificates has also become a hot spot for college students, and their consumption orientation is gradually diversified.
The consumption of college students is not only related to themselves, the school, but also to the whole society. In this regard, some suggestions are put forward:
(1) For college students, it is necessary to establish a correct consumption concept and treat their own consumption rationally. We should establish the consciousness of thrift and scientific consumption and be a sober consumer. College students' economy mainly comes from their families, so consumption should take into account the family's economic situation, parents' tolerance and self-control, and they should not blindly consume emotionally and overcome the psychology of comparison.
(2) Establish awareness of rights protection. College students are also slowly integrating into society, and social violations such as cheating are repeatedly prohibited. As consumers, they should learn to safeguard their legitimate rights and interests in the face of a complex world.
(3) Society, schools and families should strengthen the cultivation of students' consumption concept. Active and effective guidance is conducive to college students' better coping with problems. We should pay attention to and strengthen the attention to the consumption situation of college students, and pay attention to finding and solving problems in studying their consumption psychology and behavior.
(4) Plan your own consumption reasonably, establish a consumption plan, understand the purpose of consumption, and enhance the awareness of financial management and savings.
Conclusion:
College students are a special social group with special consumption concepts and behaviors. The consumption of college students is influenced by all aspects, and it is also affecting all aspects. For college students who are growing up, their outlook on life and values are still in the process of forming, which is plastic and needs the teaching and training of society, teachers and parents. Therefore, it is an important issue for society to guide college students to establish a correct view of consumption. Only with the concerted efforts of Qi Xin, can college students' consumption be on the right track.
