As an old senior of this school, we all know that Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology is a fashionable university with profound historical accumulation and distinctive school-running characteristics!
Our school was formerly Beijing Textile Vocational and Technical College founded by 1959, and was renamed Beijing Chemical Fiber Vocational and Technical College in July, 196 1. It is a key institution with chemical fiber higher education as the focus of the former Ministry of Textile Industry. 1Feb. 987, it was rebuilt and expanded into the first public institute of fashion in China-Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology.
Our school has been adhering to the motto of "Walking with the United States", taking clothing as the core and design as the leading factor, and has gradually formed the school-running characteristics of "taking art as the core, taking clothing as the guide, and integrating art and industry", and has formed unique advantages in theoretical research and application in the fields of clothing culture, clothing inheritance and innovative design, new clothing materials and high-performance clothing, and product and digital media design.
