IrisvanHerpen is a clothing brand of the same name founded by IrisvanHerpen, a new Dutch female designer, in 2007. Designer IrisvanHerpen has worked in AlexanderMcQueen, ClaudyJongstra, Viktor &；; Rolf's internship experience in the design studio, IrisvanHerpen's design style is also influenced by these brands. The creative process of IrisvanHerpen's "Capriole" series is hard. IrisvanHerpen said: For me, fashion is an artistic expression that is very close to me and my body. I regard it as a self-expression of desire, mood and cultural background. In all my works, I try to clearly convey the message that fashion is an artistic expression, and fashion is an art of display and wearing, not just a functional or empty commercial tool.
I hope to prove with my own works that fashion can add value to the world, and it transcends time. Wearing (interesting) clothes can create a very exciting and important self-expression. "Form succumbs to function" is by no means my opinion. On the contrary, I find that form can change and improve the body and affect the mood. People's every move is so important to the presentation of the body, so it is equally important to reflect it in my works. Iris van herpen was born in 1984 in Vamer, the Netherlands. IrisvanHerpen is a young and talented female designer. She studied fashion design at Artz College in Anand, the eastern Netherlands.
IrisvanHerpen is particularly good at designing clothes from the material itself, supplemented by exaggerated shapes. Irisvanherpen's fall/winter 2009 fashion collection, the mummy-inspired design by the designer was widely praised as soon as it was launched.
