What problems must be paid attention to when buying used cars?
1. Do not buy smuggled, duty-free or donated vehicles: duty-free and donated vehicles are preferential policies adopted by the state to support a certain cause, and cannot be sold or transferred without paying taxes.

2. Stop production and don't buy: maintenance and accessories will be very troublesome and expensive. Which cars can't be bought?

3. Don't buy a second-hand car in installments: Before the car is paid in full, the car does not legally belong to the owner, and there will be endless troubles after buying such a car.

4. Don't buy if the license is incomplete: the license refers to the owner's ID card, the original invoice of the vehicle, the vehicle purchase surcharge (tax) certificate, the motor vehicle driving license, the road maintenance fee certificate, the annual inspection certificate and the insurance policy.

5. Don't buy modified ones: Without the permission of the vehicle management department, the owner shall not change the engine, chassis and external dimensions at will.

6. Don't buy if the owner has a problem: it refers to the owner who changed the car, the owner who seriously violated the rules, and the owner in the lawsuit. This kind of old car is often cheap, but if you are accidentally involved in a lawsuit, it will not be worth the loss.

7. Don't buy off-site transactions: off-site transactions are often restricted by local policies and regulations, which will be very inconvenient in future use.

8. Don't buy a problem car: A problem car refers to a problem with the car itself or the owner itself, including accident cars, soaking cars and refurbished cars. And you can't buy it. Although the price of the problem car is attractive, the damage to the body parts and frame caused by the accident and the failure of electrical equipment caused by blisters greatly increase the safety hazards of the car.

What should I check for used cars?

1. Observe the body

Check whether the car body is symmetrical and whether the waistline of the car body is flush, and preliminarily judge whether it is an accident car.

2. Factory nameplate

There is a lot of information about the vehicle on the nameplate, and the location of the nameplate is mostly different, so it is generally installed in a place where it is not easy to be hit. If you see that the nameplate is damaged, it means that the car must have had a big accident. If you encounter such a car, you should think it over.

3. Observe whether the production date of the whole car glass is consistent with the factory life.

Every qualified car must have the same small mark on the window and front and rear windshield. If it is inconsistent, it means that it has been replaced because of damage. As for why it was replaced, you must ask clearly.

Step 4 check the engine

Step 1: Open the engine compartment, and observe whether the water tank frame has traces of wrinkle repair, or whether the screws have traces of screwing.

Step 2: Observe whether there are wrinkle marks on the inner edges of the left and right fenders and whether there are screw marks.

Step 3: Observe whether the firewall is deformed, folded or cut. If the above problems exist, it can be judged that there is a major accident.

Step 4: Observe whether there are wrinkle marks and whether putty glue is applied neatly. If it is not neat, it means that it is suspected of repair.

Also, please note that the engine number on the registration certificate has been re-registered.

Step 5 check the door

Open the door and pull down the original sealing strip of the door. Door frames and doorposts should be straight. Pay special attention to the original solder joints at the joints between A, B and C columns and the car body, which should be slightly round and concave, and the lines extending from the roof to the threshold should be straight and natural in radian.

If the door is difficult to open or close, it cannot be closed normally without force; The sealing strip is broken and loose, which means it has been removed many times.

The welding spots of A, B and C pillars are rough and unevenly arranged, and the inner and outer side surfaces of A, B and C pillars have color difference, so it can be judged that the vehicle has been hit and the A, B and C pillars of the car body have been damaged.

Check inside

In the car, if you smell a strong smell of paint, the interior has been renovated. It can be seen that it must be because the interior is used too much, which leads to serious wear and tear, and then it can be seen that the vehicle is used too much, and the mileage is definitely indispensable.

If you can see from the seat whether it has been renovated, you can hold it for five seconds with your hand and then let it go. If it recovers quickly, it is renovation. If it is brought by the original car, it will recover slowly. The seats of the original car were mainly expensive, comfortable and ergonomic, and later renovated very irritating, which would cause skin discomfort.

7. Check the luggage compartment

Open the luggage compartment, and check whether there are wrinkles, cutting and welding marks on the bottom plate and rear tail plate of the luggage compartment, and whether the inner lining plate and inner seam line of the rear fender and rear shock absorber bracket are flat, smooth and without welding marks.

8. Check the chassis

If it is possible to lift the vehicle, you can also observe the vehicle chassis. The front longitudinal beam (girder) and the rear longitudinal beam should have no traces of folding deformation, and the whole chassis is almost dirty. Generally, there should be no particularly clean or dirty parts. If the surface treatment of the front longitudinal beam (girder) is rough, there are traces of welding or straightening, and the paint is bright, it is judged that it has been severely impacted.

9. Check the clutch

The use of the vehicle can be judged by the degree of pedal wear of the clutch. Run more and more.

10. Check the tires.

The normal use of a tire can be 40,000 to 60,000 kilometers depending on the brand. According to the wear and tear of tires, we can judge whether to change channels after buying them, and we can also judge the mileage of vehicles.

What are the routines for second-hand car sales?

1. False quotation

When introducing a used car, the salesman will test your familiarity with the car first. As long as he thinks that you don't know anything about cars, he will quote the market price of used cars very high, say low-priced models as middle-priced models, and say middle-priced models as high-priced models to cheat you into paying more.

Countermeasures: Before buying a car, you can learn more about the used car market through the internet or friends, choose your favorite model, and then get a deeper understanding. Don't rush to the store.

Adjust mileage

After the second-hand car is taken back, adjusting the odometer can be said to be the standard designated action of the second-hand car dealer. For those who don't know how to do it, buying a used car with a short mileage will feel lucky.

Countermeasures: For used cars of 3~4 years old, we can judge them by looking at the maintenance records of 4S shops, the wear of tires and brake discs, and the aging of central control and seats.

For used cars that have been used for more than 5 years, you need to check the records of insurance companies or the nameplate of the car, and then estimate the approximate mileage according to the annual running of private cars1~ 25,000 kilometers. So when you meet those cars with long years and short mileage, there may be something fishy.

renovate

Don't be fooled by the glamorous appearance. Many used car dealers will renovate their vehicles according to the situation after recycling old cars at a low price, such as polishing and waxing the cars, replacing the aging center console, and finally cleaning the interior seats and even the engine compartment.

Countermeasures: carefully observe whether there is rust under the steering column, whether the seat belts are all pulled out, whether there are traces of sediment (anti-bubble water car), and check whether the glass of the whole car is original. Finally, check whether there are any signs of deformation or repair around the trunk of the engine compartment frame.

4. Interference with the road test

When you test drive a used car, the salesperson will always talk to you and distract you.

Countermeasure: Drive the car to a quiet place and listen for any abnormal noise. Try as many gears as possible for manual transmission models to see if there is any problem with the clutch.

For automatic transmission, you can try to refuel hard, and there is no case of gearbox slipping (loud voice and weak power). After the test drive, it is best to frame the car and check whether there is oil leakage in the chassis. If you are interested in buying a car and the merchant is unwilling to show it to you, then the car is probably faulty.

The above is only a preliminary judgment. If you want to buy a used car with confidence, you still have to check it carefully yourself or buy it through formal channels.
