1. Ruler

When sewing by hand, the smaller the number, the thicker the needle. Appropriate needles should be used according to the thickness of the cloth.

6. Thread threader

7. Cotton thread (sparse seam)

Mainly used to mark threaded nails, false seams and true seams. Common cotton thread has three colors: white, red and blue, and white cotton thread is usually used. When in use, scissors can be used to cut it from the middle, tie it into a bundle, and then pull it out from the end.

Painting powder is usually used to draw and cut lines on cloth and to mark when sewing. There are three colors: triangle, circle and rectangle. The commonly used color is white, but it is also equipped with various colors such as red, yellow, blue, green and purple.

12. Dot device

Used in conjunction with special carbon paper for cloth, the marking lines are divided into dot and line. When in use, the reverse side of the cloth is facing up, the carbon paper is centered, the pattern is placed, and the outline of the pattern is copied on the cloth by the roller.

13. Cloth scissors

Scissors used for garment cutting and sewing are very important. Generally, there are two kinds of scissors: one is scissors for cutting clothing fabrics, and the commonly used ones are No.9, 10,10, 12. The smaller the size, the smaller the size, the larger the size. It is characterized by long body length and large blade. The other is the yarn scissors used to cut the thread end in the process of garment making, which is characterized by short and small blades, safe and convenient to use, and sometimes used to trim smaller parts of garments.

14. Big screwdriver

16. awl

17. Tweezers

18. Ironing

Press iron is generally made of pig iron, with a width of about 13cm, a length of about 20cm and a thickness of 4~6cm. The iron must be equipped with a handle to facilitate movement and transfer. The function of ironing is to press the garment fabric when cutting to prevent it from moving and deforming. When making clothes, ironing can also play a role in fixing the position.
