Dongxi Village originated from the ancestors' migration from Quanzhou East Gate and Nan 'anxi Zhaiwei. In order to commemorate their homeland, they each took the first word "things" as the village name. During the Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties, it belonged to fourteen capitals. During the Republic of China, it belonged to Dongmenbao. After liberation, it belongs to Liankeng Township. During the land reform, it merged with Gaixi Village to form Gaixi Village and retreated to Dongxia Village. When the commune was reformed, it merged with Dongxing Village to form the "Dongmen Brigade", which was changed to Dongxi Brigade in 1958 and Dongxi Village Committee in 1984.
