Since its establishment, the museum has held famous dancer's costume design exhibition, Liang Sicheng's collection art exhibition, calligraphy and painting exhibition, the "Three Peaks Reflecting Show" exhibition by Lu, Li Keng, and the second China, Japan and South Korea famous artists art invitation exhibition, which has a wide social impact.
At present, the museum has a collection of distinctive fine works of art, including a sample of drum and inkstone presented by president to Japanese Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda, selected works approved by Prince Chengzhe in Qing Dynasty, Liang Qichao's calligraphy masterpiece, China National Emblem designed by Lin, China Sculpture History Manuscript by Liang Sicheng, and peacock skirt of famous dancers, all of which are domestic orphans. The museum has also undertaken large-scale international activities such as the Shanghai World Expo and the Shanghai World Swimming Championships, as well as customized product development tasks entrusted by the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, the the State Council Press Office and the Standing Committee of the Shanghai Municipal People's Congress. At present, this museum not only has a large collection of works by China painters and national masters of arts and crafts, but also works by three generations of artists including Japanese cultural meritorious artists, Japanese national treasure, Tokuda, Yoshida Meitong and Nakagawa Wei, and dozens of famous Korean artists, and is actively preparing for the first Asian art museum in China.
The new Shanghai Art Gift Museum is located in the picturesque Tianshan Park in the core area of Shanghai. Equipped with central air conditioning, strict electronic security system, standard exhibition hall and supporting service facilities.
At present, the Shanghai Arts & Crafts Museum has hired many top artists as consultants, including Lu, curator of the National Museum of China, Chang Shana, a famous arts and crafts educator, a famous painter, a leading figure of Shanghai style painting and calligraphy, the president of China Seal Cutting Research Institute, the doctoral supervisor of China Academy of Fine Arts, Li Keng, a master of arts and crafts in China, Zuo Weimen, a tenth generation cultural meritorious artist in Japan, and Meitong Yoshida, a national treasure in Japan.
