Swordsman 2: Dong Fangbubai is a martial arts film directed by Cheng Xiaodong and starring Jet Li, Brigitte Lin, Rosamund Kwan and Michelle monique Rice. It was released in Hongkong, China on June 26th, 1992. This film is adapted from the novel the legendary swordsman edited by Jin Yong. It tells the story that Ling Huchong and Dong Fangbubai gradually developed feelings after several encounters. When Gu Chong found out that Dong Fangbubai had killed his other disciples, he went to Dong Fangbubai for revenge.
Dong Fangbubai, played by Brigitte Lin, is the founder of Sun Moon Shinto, with high martial arts and great ambition. Dong Fangbubai appeared because she studied sunflower collection and became a woman. After knowing Ling Huchong, he was regarded as a beautiful girl by Ling Huchong, and he was also fascinated by Ling Huchong's chic. Therefore, he let his concubine spend the night with Ling Huchong to realize his impossible love.
In the play, Dong Fangbubai's modeling does not adopt the costume style that traditional martial arts movies should have, but incorporates the characteristics of Japanese national costumes. Dong Fangbubai's men's wear is mainly white, and white is cool to highlight its elegant and aloof characteristics; Women's wear in Dong Fangbubai is dominated by red, which is a warm color to highlight its enchanting, charming and confident characteristics. If Brigitte Lin's acting experience is a novel, Qiong Yao's Nu Wa, Li Hanxiang's Jia Baoyu, Tsui Hark's fairy castle owner and Cao Yun are grass snake gray lines, then Dong Fangbubai is undoubtedly the climax of their intersection.
Many people think that Dong Fangbubai can only be played by Brigitte Lin, and Brigitte Lin should be like Dong Fangbubai. When the long hair flutters over the shoulders, it is charming and moving, and when the hair is tied up with a high crown, the command is decisive. In any case, it has a charming appearance.
